About Me
I am 32 years old and live with my gorgeous fiance (GB) and our nutcase pooch called Westie. I’ve struggled with my weight since forever and lost a massive chunk of weight in 2005-2007 with Weight Watchers. Then I got a life and BAM – put three quarters of it back on. In January 08 GB and I started researching lapband surgery and made an appointment to see Dr Watson. March 19th, 2008 we both became bandits and our new lives began again. This is a look at the journey of my new life with band. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have so just shoot me a comment!

Hi Emma, nice to meet you, im yet to be banded also, im 32 , mum of 3, married almost 11 years. At the start of this journey I was 106kg, been on opti for 8 days, am now 103kg, I get banded on 15th April, and I cant wait!!!!! Will be good to support eachother along the way, good luck with your opti, Im really struggling, although I do really like the stuff so thats a bonus I guess!! Bye for now, gem (stacey)
Hi Emma. Great blog so far. You and GB must be getting excited. I too am yet to be banded, Jun30th for me because of work commitments. I know the frustration of losing the weight and suddenly realising most if not all of it has crept back on while you were just living your life. Good luck to you and GB for the 19th. Sally
Emma, I’m adding you to my blog roll. We’ll be interesting in following your journey. Best of luck.
Lori
Hi Emma,
loved reading your blog – you and your GB are such a bubbly couple. Congratulations on your weight loss. wishing you all the best, Hayley
Hi Em,
Thanks for dropping by my site, look forward to reading all your posts and following your progress.
I just got out today and started liquids again. Surgeon found a big hernia (I had no idea I even had one!) and has replaced my 14ml band with a 10ml one so hopefully I’ll be following in your footsteps soon.
Take care & keep up the good work -not too much mash potatoe though
Hugs
Vicki xx
Hi Emma! Thsnks for visiting my site – and thanks for the feedback too! Loved looking at your pickies….the bogan party is such a great idea and you all looked like you were having a ball!! heehee
Stay in touch and happy weight losing!
Hey Em,
I love your site… you have heaps and heaps of info on here… all very inspiring. I just had a browse through your photo’s as well – you gorgeous girl. What did you graduate as??? There are some really nice pic’s in that set. You have a few
blogs listed that you admire so I might also have a look through them and see what other inspiring stories I can read. I have saved your site on my tool bar now so that I can just click and load the site without trolling through all my bookmarks.
I love your sense of humor as well… fancy having a bogan party.. what a fantastic idea.
Are you able to keep in touch as you travel around Australia?? It would be great to log on and see what a great time you have been having and all the beautiful places you have been. Maybe I will have to be patient and wait the six weeks and read about it all once you get back home. That’s on our agenda in the next few years… to visit your gorgeous state and also go up the middle.
Anyway – as I said in my email, thanks for logging on and posting encouraging comments on my site, it has been very uplifting for me to know that people are taking an interest and wanting the best for me and I think that we (I) need to do more of that… your example is inspiring and I will now log onto your blog and encourage you as we meander along this path of living with a lap band.
Take care,
Janine. X
Hi Janine, thanks for your comment. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (professional accounting) and a Bachelor of Arts (media analysis). Bloody glad it’s over – 7 years part time study is tooo much! Can’t guarantee I’ll blog much (or at all) while on our trip because we’re purposely not taking a laptop so we don’t feel compelled to sit on the computer all night! So just depends if we’re around a net cafe or whatever.
All the best
Em
Hey Em! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Both is the answer to your question actually. My old blog is http://taintz.blogspot.com
And I was on LITS as taintz as well.
I’m not sure if you are aware LITS evolved into WAS or we are slimming which is at http://www.weareslimming.com.au/forum
Tell me what was your old blog and user name on LITS? I am trying to put 2 & 2 together

haha – and if I just read one email up I would see you figured out the above for yourself
